1. Persian Cats

Persian cats have long fur. The average height of this cat is about 8-10 inches. This type of cat has a round head and round eyes. Usually, they are very peaceful. due to that, this cat breed tolerates anything children do. But cleaning them is a bit difficult because they have long fur on their bodies. There are several sub-species of Persian Cats. Among them, the traditional Persian cat sub-variety is known as the original type.


2. Bengal Cats

Bengal cats are a domesticated cat breed that looks like a leopard. This type of cat is about 9-11 inches tall. They are very playful, energetic, and active cats. The Bengal cat breed always likes to play. Therefore, this cat breed is not suitable for those who like lazy cats. Cleaning is easy due to the short fur on the body. Bengal cats come in several colors. The price is high as it is a fairly rare breed of cat.


3. Maine Coon Cats

Maine Coon cats are a fairly large domestic cat. Their homeland is the state of Maine in North America. They are very good at hunting. A well-grown male weighs about 6-9 kg. The body height is 10-16 inches and the length is about 24-40 inches. These cats have a larger body than other cats and have a beautiful tail full of fur. There is also long fur around the neck. Black, white, brown, and gray colors are common in this cat breed. Cat owners say that these cats are friendly to people and very obedient. Another special point is that this cat breed lives peacefully with dogs.


4. British Shorthair Cats

British Shorthair cat is a cat species native to England. Short fur is uniformly grown all over their body. Gray is the most common color of this type of cat. They have orange eyes. Their average height is about 12-16 inches. Very friendly to people. But this cat species is a bit lazy. Their body should be brushed twice or thrice a week. British longhair cat is another variety of this cat breed. The main difference between the 2 types of British longhair and British shorthair cats is the difference in the length of the fur.


5. Norwegian Forest Cats

The homeland of this cat species is Northern Europe. They are more adapted to the cold climate. They have long fur. But at one time of the year, fur sheds a little more. The body length of an adult male cat is about 22-26 inches. They prefer to climb high places. Some cat owners say this cat breed is more intelligent than other cat breeds. However, Norwegian forest cats are calm by nature. They behave peacefully with small children and dogs. This cat breed has a certain tendency to develop heart-related diseases and hip disorders.


6. Sphynx Cats

The homeland of these cats is Canada. This not-so-beautiful cat breed has big ears and wrinkled skin. They have no fur on their bodies. It is said that the no fur in the body of these cats is due to a naturally occurring genetic change. Since they don’t have fur, they like to bask in the sun to avoid the cold. Although not very beautiful, they are friendly and active cats. Their lifespan is about 8-14 years. Cat owners say this cat type is a bit difficult to take care of. This type of cat can be seen in white, black, brown, and lavender colors.


7. Savannah Cats

The Savannah cat breed is one of the most expensive cat breeds in the world. This species is divided into 3 main groups F1, F2, and, F3. Apart from this, there are several other sub-categories. The reason why this type of cat is expensive is that it is difficult to breed. The height of this cat is about 13-17 inches. This type of cat has a long neck, large ears, and a long tail with short fur. Another special feature of them is that they love to play with water. Some behavior patterns of dogs can be seen in this type of cat. That is why they can be trained well. This cat breed behaves very friendly with children as well as with dogs.
